Indian Student Parliament - Opportunity for Students who want to make a Difference

The specific objective of the First Indian Student Parliament is to create an accessible platform for young student leaders and help them interact with the experts from different sectors. Exposing these students to the different problems prevalent in the country is expected to bring the focus on the areas that need immediate focus and attention. It is also expected that bringing together student leaders from different States all over the Country will help create a bonding and these individuals can start working together in making a difference in society.

This is a golden opportunity for students who want to make a difference and change the political setting in India to come forward and show their caliber. The formulation of this council marks the beginning of a major change.

The MAEERS’MIT School of Government has set up this council to bring together the young minds of India prominent leaders in different fields so that new ideas can be exchanged. The student leaders have the perfect opportunity to meet prominent leaders like Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, IPS Officer Kiran Bedi, Dr Narayan Murthy and others in different fields like politics, media and entertainment, social work, academics and other fields. The resolutions suggested will be passed on to the governing bodies in India and to International organizations like UNESCO.

India has been battling with problems like poverty, corruption, terrorism and other issues for years, it is time to put this to an end and take a step forward towards progress in every field. This attempt by MIT School of engineering will provide the much needed enthusiasm and new ideas that will help steer in India in the right direction.
