The Indian Student Parliament will not only encourage the leadership abilities in students, helping students from all parts of the country to work as one, towards the betterment of our nation, but also help in introducing new, innovative and fresh ideas in the society, something which we can see is sorely needed there!
The 33 Universities from Maharashtra will each have the aforementioned representatives, and representatives of other central and other universities from around the country shall also participate on a selective basis. There are around 4000 colleges affiliated to the 33 universities in Maharashtra alone, and the rest of the country has a total of around 426 universities. Thus, all these 4000 colleges in the state of Maharashtra and the other 2000 colleges in the country will be invited to send two of their Student Council representatives to participate in the event. In all, the estimated number of participants attending the summit will be around 10000-12000.
This is an initiative taken by the MAEERS’ MIT School of Government, to effectively make students having the potential of doing some good to the nation come together and exchange ideas as well as learn the importance of working together. This is a golden opportunity, not only for young and fresh minds who look forward to doing something worthwhile for this country through their leadership, but also for the nation to embark on a new path and succeed in developing our nation even further!
